This appeal arises from the sale of crop fertilizer by respondents to appellants for the 2007 growing season and appellants’ subsequent contention that the failure of their crops in 2007 was caused by insufficient nitrogen in that fertilizer. Appellants assert that the district court erred by ruling that their negligence claim is barred by the common-law economic-loss doctrine and by granting summary judgment to respondents on that claim.
