The plaintiff, T. W. Dye, became surety on the bond of W. A. Carpenter as Sheriff of Roane County, and said sheriff failing to account for certain moneys which came into his hands as sheriff, an action on said bond was instituted by the County Court of Roane County against the said Carpenter, T. W. Dye and others in the Circuit Court of Roane County, in which judgment was rendered in favor of the plaintiff against the defendants in said action for $33,892.50.
