RUIZ, Senior Judge:
This appeal presents an issue of first impression: the scope of the Superior Court’s authority to terminate and dismiss a juvenile proceeding in Family Court once the juvenile has been found to have committed a delinquent act and in need of care or rehabilitation. In this case, D.M., a juvenile, pled involved to one count of misdemeanor theft in the Family Division of the Superior Court. The trial court found, at a dispositional proceeding, that D.M. was in need of care or rehabilitation, adju*541dicated D.M. delinquent, and sentenced him to a six-month term of probation.…
