BALDWIN, Circuit Justice.
This case arises on the will of Sarah Zane, a member of the Society of Friends, who in the body thereof describes herself as of the city of Philadelphia. She died in Virginia, but, as it has not been questioned, we shall assume this to have been the place of her domicil at the time of her death. The law of the state must therefore govern her disposition of her personal property, as well as of her real estate situated here. 1 Bin. 336, 344; 3 Rawle, 318; 3 Pen. & W. 187, 188.
