This is an appeal by the defendant from a judgment against him in a bastardy proceeding. The jury found that the defendant is the father of an illegitimate child, and the court rendered judgment requiring the defendant to pay $150 during the first year and $100 per year for the period of 17 years, for the support, education, and maintenance of said child.
