BRASWELL, Judge.

The defendant was convicted by a jury of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and sentenced to the presumptive term of three years. The major issue on appeal is whether the defendant’s constitutional right to the effective assistance of counsel was denied because of a conflict of interest created by his attorney’s previous representation of prosecution witnesses.
