FOURNET, Justice.
Respondent, Gatien J. Livaudais, instituted this suit in the First City Court of New Orleans to recover the sum of $37.28, the alleged value of a suit of clothes left at the Oriental Laundry, owned by relatrix, Mrs. Lee She Tung, for cleaning and pressing.
The respondent presented his case in a written petition in which he articulately stated his cause of action. The allegations of his petition are, in substance, that his suit was left at the laundry on January 16, 1940; that when he called for it on January 20 he was informed it had been stolen; and that although some time…
