The defendant was tried and convicted before the mayor’s court for the city of Green-ville for a violation of one of the ordinances of said city, and sentenced to pay a fine of $50, or be imprisoned for the term of thirty days. He paid the fine under protest, and gave notice of appeal'to the Circuit Court, upon what grounds does not appear in the “Case.” That appeal was heard by his Honor, Judge Watts, who passed the following order dismissing the appeal: “The above stated case came up before me for hearing upon appeal from the…
