MEMORANDUM AND ORDER

NEALON, Chief Judge.

Plaintiff filed this action against defendant Yamaha Motor Corp. (Yamaha) seeking to be compensated for injuries he sustained when his motorcycle collided with an automobile owned and operated by one Joseph Vincent Gaiko. Specifically, plaintiff alleges that Yamaha is liable on a theory of crashworthiness1 because Yamaha’s failure to provide crash bars on its motorcycles increased the severity of his injuries.
