This is a proceeding by certiorari to review the action of the comptroller in imposing a tax upon the relator for the years ending November 1, 1889 and 1890, under the provisions of chapter 542, Laws 1880, as amended or added to by chapter 361, Laws 1881, chapter 151, Laws 1882, and chapter 501, Laws 1885.
