This is an appeal from a judgment for damages in an action for fraud. The complaint charged fraud and false representations on the part of the defendant inducing the plaintiff to enter upon and consummate an exchange of three parcels of property owned by her in Detroit, Michigan, and Pasadena, California, for a lot at the corner of Third Street and Hobart Avenue in the city of Los Angeles, on which was erected a building consisting of seven stores on the first floor and three apartments of five rooms each on the second floor.
