Litz, Judge:
The plaintiff Nathan J. Hancock prosecutes error to the judgment of the circuit court upon a verdict for the defendant Edith M. Snider, the widow and executrix of David N. Snider, deceased, in an action of debt on the following note alleged to have been made and delivered to the plaintiff by said David N. Snider:
“25,000.00 Fairmont, W. Va., Dec. 23, 1914.
On demand I promise to pay to the order of Nathan J. Hancock without offset and for value re-reived Twenty five thousand Dollars.
