Jimmie Lee Ivey was jointly indicted with Arlene Ivey, his wife, for the mnrder of Doc Porter. A severance was granted and he was tried first. The jnry fonnd him guilty and fixed his punishment at life imprisonment in the State Penitentiary. From a judgment, in accordance with the verdict, he appealed.
