The objection is taken at the outset that the plaintiffs have not shown such an interest in the matter in dispute as will enable them to maintain the action. This raises a question of considerable practical importance, which, if it be now doubtful, ought to be definitively settled. It is not pretended that the plaintiffs have any interest which is not common to all the resident freeholders of the alleged new town of Port Crane.
