APPEAL FROM THE CIRCUIT COURT OF THE UNITED STATES FOR THE DISTRICT OF KANSAS. This was a bill in equity brought by the Attorney General of the United States, to quiet the title to certain lands in Kansas. The decree below was in favor of the Attorney General, from which the railroad company appealed. The case is stated in the opinion of the court.-

This is an appeal from'the Circuit Court of the District of Kansas. The suit is brought by B. H. Brewster, Attorney General of the United States, for and on behalf of the United States. The object of if is to set aside certain instruments in writing, ivhich, if they are valid, are supposed to convey title from the United States for a considerable quantity of land in-southeastern Kansas.
