Foreign sovereigns may not be hauled into courts of the United States unless an exception to sovereign immunity applies. Plaintiffs seek to domesticate a Florida judgment against the' Republic of Cuba and its most senior officers for the wrongful death of their relative. The decedent was a first lieutenant in the Cuban army; he was killed in the aftermath of the Cuban revolution in 1959.
