The Chanler at Cliff Walk sits on an imposing site on Memorial Boulevard in Newport, offering spectacular views of the city’s Easton’s Beach (commonly known as First Beach). Although there has been a hotel at this site since 1945, the building now is in a residential zone, and the scope of a series of upgrades and renovations to the facility has resulted in a dispute with a neighbor that has found its way to this Court.
