The defendant Benito Ramos, Jr., appeals from the judgment of the trial court, rendered after the jury’s award of $23,475.45 on its verdict in favor of the plaintiff Wilson Ramirez for damages resulting from an automobile accident.1 The defendant claims that the court abused its discretion in (1) excluding evidence that the plaintiff had been diagnosed with hepatitis B prior to the accident and (2) in denying the defendant’s motion for a continuance following the late disclosure of the plaintiffs medical condition.
