Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the County Court, Nassau County (Thorp, J.), rendered March 26, 1990, convicting him of tampering with physical evidence and obstruction of governmental administration in the second degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence. The appeal brings up for review the denial, *745after a hearing, of that branch of the defendant’s omnibus motion which was to suppress physical evidence and statements made by him to law enforcement authorities.
