Seventeen-year-old Heather Riehereek (Riehereek) was rendered a quadriplegic when the 1985 Corvette in which she was riding was struck by a truck whose driver was attempting to elude the police. Rich-creek and another passenger allegedly were in the passenger bucket seat, although the parties disputed Riehereek’s exact position.
