Defendant Scott Parker was convicted of first degree murder (720 ILCS 5/9 — 1 (West 2000)) in the death of Catherine Kelley and was sentenced to a 60-year term of imprisonment. Defendant was also convicted of involuntary manslaughter and residential burglary arising from the same incident.
