EDWARDS, Judge.
Plaintiff, Sallie Guillory, brought this action to recover damages for injuries sustained when the motorcycle upon which she was riding was struck by a truck owned by Avondale Shipyards, Inc.1 Named as defendants were Avondale Shipyards, Inc. and its liability insurer, The Travelers Insurance Company. Trial was conducted before a jury. After presentation of all evidence, plaintiff’s motion for directed verdict on the issue of liability was granted. The case then went to the jury on the issue of quantum. The jury returned a verdict for plaintiff in the amount of $398,859.89.…
