At a jury trial held subject to the provisions of G. L. c. 278, §§ 33A-33G, the defendant was found guilty on two indictments each charging unlawful possession of a machine gun. G. L. c. 269, § 10, as amended through St. 1969, c. 799, §§ 14-16. He has assigned as error: (1) the denial of his motion to suppress evidence; (2) certain evidentiary rulings made at trial; and (3) the denial of his motions for directed verdicts.
