¶1 Twelve-year-old Alajawan S. Brown was shot in the back and died on April 29,2010. On June 17, 2010, the State filed criminal charges of murder in the first degree of Alajawan and unlawful possession of a firearm against Curtis John Walker. Walker pleaded not guilty. Walker asserted he did not shoot Alajawan.
