The state appeals from a pretrial order suppressing evidence. We review for errors of law, ORS 138.220, and reverse.

On October 12, 1994, Officers Thompson and Unhara received a report from a police dispatcher about an accident and an intoxicated driver who had left the scene. Thompson testified that she was advised by the dispatcher that the other driver involved in the accident was following the suspect and was calling the dispatcher from a telephone in his car.
