The defendant, Antonio Pena, was convicted after a jury trial of the crimes of carrying a pistol without a permit in violation of General Statutes § 29-35 and criminal possession of a firearm in violation of General Statutes § 53a-217 (a) (1), and was found not guilty of murder, either as a principal or an accessory, in violation of General Statutes §§ 53a-54a and 53a-8.
