Writs of certiorari to the Court of Criminal Appeals,473 So.2d 541, were issued in these cases, to review the decision of that court that affirmed petitioners' convictions and sentences.
These petitioners were indicted on charges of theft in the second degree. They were arraigned and pleaded not guilty. On 20 April 1983, a motion to consolidate the trials of Martin Lee Jones and Solomon Bryant was filed by the State. It was granted on 22 April 1983. Trial was held on 3 and 4 May 1983; petitioners were found guilty and sentenced. They appealed and the Court of Criminal Appeals affirmed.
