Carley, Justice.

A jury found Michael Campbell guilty of felony murder while in the commission of an aggravated assault and of possession of a knife during the commission of a crime. After entering judgments of conviction on the guilty verdicts, the trial court imposed a life sentence for the murder and a consecutive five-year sentence for the weapons offense. Campbell’s motion for a new trial was denied and he appeals.
