The question presented by this proceeding involves the power of the county commissioners of Salt Lake county to suspend or remove from office deputy sheriffs of the county against their will and that of the sheriff.
The commissioners suspended six deputy sheriffs without noticé or a hearing and without preferring any charges against them or stating any reason or ground therefor, except that the commissioners “deemed it advisable and for the best interest and welfare” of the county.
