POSNER, Circuit Judge.

This is an appeal by a disappointed applicant for child’s social security survivor benefits. The child, Tarelle M. Williams, is the illegitimate son of Betty Bennemon, who claims that the father is George Williams, a deceased wage earner covered by social security, and that, as his child, Tarelle is entitled to the benefits that Bennemon is seeking on Tarelle’s behalf.
