The plaintiff filed suit against his former wife and several pharmacies, claiming that while he and his wife were separated, but before their divorce, the pharmacies released copies of his prescription profiles to his wife without his consent, causing him to suffer, inter alia, embarrassment and emotional distress. The plaintiff eventually dismissed his claims against the pharmacies pursuant to a compromise.
