*103The Legislature, on the 16th of February, 1866, ordered the president and directors of the Bank of Tennessee to make an assignment for the benefit, first,. of the school fund, and secondly, for all the creditors-of the bank whose claims arose before the 6th day of May, 1861, “excluding all claims and demands of all-kinds of date after May 6, 1861, as absolutely null and void.”
