By agreement, the divorcing parents of an infant son proposed a single parent adoption by which the father would relinquish all rights and duties toward the son and the mother would assume the role of sole parent. A judge of the Probate and Family Court conducted an evidentiary hearing, composed *657findings of fact and conclusions of law, and rejected the father’s adoption surrender and the mother’s adoption petition. For the following reasons, we affirm the judgment dismissing the petition.
