Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Queens County (Zelman, J.), rendered October 16, 1985, convicting him of robbery in the first degree, robbery in the second degree, and robbery in the third degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.

*586Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.

Contrary to the defendant’s contention, we find that the police had probable cause to effectuate his arrest. The complainant, an identified citizen (see, People v McCain, 134 AD2d 623), had ample time and opportunity during the robbery to observe the defendant under reasonably good lighting…
