In a. suit by the father for the negligent killing of his three year old child by an automobile driven by the defendant, G. W. DeVane, the jury rendered a verdict for the plaintiff in the sum of $400.00.
The Court instructed the jury that if they found that the defendant was negligent in the manner stated in the declaration and by reason of such negligence, and as the proximate result thereof, the child was killed, that the plaintiff would be entitled to recover for the loss of services of the child until it “reached twenty-one years of age, if he lived so long, provided, of course, if the…
