The plaintiff in error, hereinafter referred to as the defendant, was charged in the district court on seven *155separate counts charging him with buying and receiving stolen chickens, “well knowing the said chickens aforesaid, to have been stolen.” On trial, he was found guilty on five of the counts referred to, and was sentenced to imprisonment in the county jail of Red Willow county, Nebraska, for the period of 50 days on each of the counts on which he was found guilty, said sentences to run concurrently.
