In November of 1997, Erie Insurance Company filed its Motion for Judgment against Allstate alleging, among other things, that Allstate abrogated its duty to defend one Vera Gatewood in an accident involving Karen Anderson Nonnenmocher that arose out of a collision between two individuals operating motor vehicles in the City of Harrisonburg.
