The opinion of the court was delivered by-

VAN Syckel, J.

This suit was brought to recover the possession of a piece of land two and a half ,feet in width, extending from the west line of Missouri avenue westerly a distance of one hundred and fifty feet. The trial below resulted in a verdict for the plaintiff.

The plaintiff traced his paper title by deed to the division of the lands of Jeremiah Leeds which was in 1839.

The defendant in his bill of particulars declared that he claimed title by adverse possession.
