On December 6,1993, defendant-appellant, Darryl J. Blankenship, was indicted by the Butler County Grand Jury on three counts of having a weapon while under a disability in violation of R.C. 2923.13. The indictment alleged that appellant had purchased and possessed firearms on three occasions during July and August 1993 after having been convicted of aggravated robbery in 1984. The indictment also contained three separate firearm specifications.
