CAVANAUGH, Judge.
The plaintiff sues the defendants for compensation under the .Workmen’s Compensation Law of the State of Louisiana, LSA-.R.S. 23:1021 et seq., for total disability on account of injuries suffered ,by him on January IS, .1948, while engaged in dislodging a limb which had been previously cut from a tree on a right of way being cut by J. B. Pugh, an independent contractor, for the other defendant, Valley Electric Membership Corporation.
