KRAVITCH, Circuit Judge.
This diversity action arising under Florida law presents the question of whether the pilots’ failure to hold “type ratings” for the make and model of aircraft flown suspended coverage of the aircraft liability insur*656anee policy at the time of the crash. The policy required, inter alia, that “[o]nly [a] pilot or pilots .. . with ratings as required by the Federal Aviation Administration for the flight involved will operate the aircraft in flight.”1
