“On this day comes the plaintiff, J. C. Yancey, and states that he is a resident of the city of Batesville, Independence County, Arkansas; that the defendants, the Batesville Telephone Company and the Southwestern Telegraph & Telephone Company, are corporations, each organized and created under the laws of the State of Arkansas; that the Batesville Telephone Company is engaged in operating a telephone exchange in the said city of Batesville, in said State, and in furnishing the citizens thereof with telephone connections through the central office…
