specially concurring:

While I agree that appellant’s conviction should be affirmed, I write separately only to comment in relation to appellant’s fifth assignment of error concerning prosecuto-rial misconduct. I feel the record should be clear that Ms. Chandler was questioned during direct examination by the prosecutor about her prior inconsistent testimony. (Tr. 86, 87) Such impeachment of a witness by the party offering the evidence is proper. See Smith v. State, 766 P.2d 1007, 1008 (Okl.Cr.1988).
