¶ 1. January 30, 2008. Defendant appeals an order of the Rutland Superior Court, enforcing the decision of a master appointed earlier by the court as part of an alleged settlement agreement by the *573parties. Because we conclude that the court erred in deciding that defendant could not, as a matter of law, rescind a settlement because his attorney lacked the authority to settle, we reverse and remand.
