This lawsuit arises from a Freedom of Information Act ("FOIA") request that Plaintiff Public Citizen, Inc. made to Defendant United States Department of Education ("DOE"). Plaintiff requested documents related to an October 2, 2107 event held by the DOE. Initially, the DOE did not respond to Plaintiff's FOIA request; but, following the initiation of this lawsuit, Defendant produced a total of 447 pages of records.
