By amended motion for judgment dated January 23, 1985, plaintiff alleged that her ten-year-old daughter had been repeatedly raped and sexually assaulted by Charles E. Ladison, an employee of Victory Tabernacle Baptist Church. Plaintiff sued the church and its pastor, Reverend Richard Mears (collectively Victory Baptist), alleging, among other things, that when Victory Baptist hired Ladison it knew, or should have known, that Ladison had recently been convicted of aggravated sexual assault on a young girl, that he was on probation for this offense, and that a condition of his probation was…
