During the month of March, 1898, an explosion of natural gas demolished a dwelling house in which the appellee and his family were residing. The appellee, his wife, and daughter sustained serious personal injuries, and suit was brought by them in the district court of Fremont county against The United Oil Company, the appellant, to recover damages.
