I. Introduction
This litigation involves claims for wrongful death and personal injury arising out of the administration of an injectable steroid, methylprednisolone acetate (“MPA”), manufactured by defendant New England Compounding Pharmacy, Inc. (“NECC”). The complaints allege, in substance, that NECC produced contaminated MPA that led to serious fungal infections and, in some instances, death.
