|2On April 27, 2006, the Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s office filed a bill of information charging defendant, Eugene Caffrey, with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, in violation of La. R.S. 14:95.1. On November 22, 2006, defendant entered a plea of not guilty. Subsequently, defendant filed several pre-trial motions, including a motion to suppress evidence. On February 21, 2008, defendant’s motion to suppress evidence was denied after a hearing.
