Defendant was accused of two misdemeanor offenses, obstruction of a law enforcement officer and simple assault. A jury trial commenced on August 23, 1985, and the following evidence, construed most favorably to support the verdict, was adduced: On April 18, 1985, defendant entered the clerk’s office of the State Court of Chat-ham County, Georgia and began shouting obscenities after his demands in the clerk’s office were not fulfilled.
